A Quick Guide To San Antonio – Ibiza

San Antonio is one of the most popular destinations in Ibiza and it is just a 20-minute journey from Ibiza Town itself. It offers a wide variety of entertainment and accommodation options which will suit tourists of all ages, although its popularity is now with younger people who are holidaying in groups, such as stag and hen parties.

A good time to visit San Antonio is during the quieter months of May, June, September and October as the peak season sees a lot of young people heading to the town. Those who are holidaying with younger children or as a couple will find that these periods are perfect for enjoying the beauty of the region rather than the nightlife. The clubs in the town offer a variety of music and stay open for much of the night.

Eating out in the town is easy as there are numerous restaurants to choose from which will suit various different budgets and tastes. The more upmarket restaurants can be found around the yacht club but there are low cost restaurants in the town centre. These are joined by numerous bars and cafes where patrons can sit outside to enjoy their snacks and drinks.

Shopping in the town is becoming a more popular pastime as many designer names are opening boutiques there and there are plenty of options for those who have less cash to splash, with numerous souvenir and gift shops.

For activities, water sports are the ideal choice. Swimming and scuba diving are just two of the sports on offer. If you are planning on enjoying some of the more active sports then make sure that you have adequate travel cover in case of accident or injury. Medical costs on Ibiza for tourists can be extremely high.

Also, many of these activity centres do not take credit cards so it makes sense to get foreign currency before you leave.
