How To Stay in Ibiza For Less

There is a huge range of accommodations for anyone planning on spending some time on the beautiful Balearic island of Ibiza. Choices range from super 5-star luxury like the Aguas de Ibiza, in Santa Eulalia del Rio, or Ibiza Gran Hotel in Ibiza Town, to more basic hostels like Hostel Montana also in Ibiza Town, which are very popular with the younger set.

For those on a tight budget it’s still possible to find a great place to stay on the island. If you don’t fancy staying in a hostel then sharing a rental apartment is probably the next best way to experience Ibiza on a shoestring.

Typical holiday apartments on Ibiza

The main centres of Ibiza Town and San Antonia are full of good value holiday apartments and it should be easy to find a wide selection of available properties by searching online. The only drawback is that some owners are reluctant to rent out to groups of young adults, especially all male groups. This may limit your choice if you are visiting as part of a group. If this is a problem then try offering a bigger damage deposit to the owner or rental agency.

Also remember that August is super peak season in Spain, which means there will be less choice unless you book as early as possible. Owners are often more choosy of who they rent to at this time of the year as they know they can fill the property several times over.

If all else fails then camping is a last resort. There are plenty of campsites on the island all catering to different clientele. The sites nearest to the main towns, especially San Antonio and Ibiza Town, are mainly used by young people who want to make the most of the nightlife. These sites will be noisy until late and probably not suitable for families and older visitors.

Wherever you choose to stay, Ibiza is a fantastic island with so much to do and see for all age groups. The great thing about Ibiza is you don’t have to break the bank to enjoy a holiday there.
