Is Ibiza Still A Party Heaven?

Ibiza is probably one of the most iconic party havens in the entire world. Renowned for all night partying, super clubs offering music of all types, and being a celebrity hotspot for those indulging in the music industry, thousands flock to the Spanish island every year. And whilst Ibiza has been a party spot for several decades, its popularity remains as strong as ever and shows no signs of diminishing.

For youngsters, especially those on gap years and trying to visit as many hotspots as possible, Ibiza is a great destination. The island’s renowned party season starts at the beginning of the summer, with a great clamour of opening parties offering the best of what the island has to offer. All night raves, beach bars and foam parties then continue through the summer months until the party season draws to a close in late September. The opening and closing parties often draw both the biggest names on the DJ circuit and the largest crowds, so can be a particularly expensive time. However, if budget is no option enjoying these first and last few nights can be the best experience offered by Ibiza.

If you’re going to Ibiza to party then it’s a good ideal to do some research on the club circuit first. Club entry can be very expensive due to the atmosphere and regard surrounding many venues, and you don’t want to spend around 40 euro’s getting in somewhere only to discover that the music is not what you expected. Taking the trouble to research where your favourite DJ’s will be playing, and which clubs will be offering your favourite tunes is well worthwhile to avoid expensive disappointment.

Some of the most iconic Ibiza clubs are those such as Space, Pacha, Amnesia and Privilege. With six different dance areas, Space has become synonymous with enjoying some of the best electronic music in the world and as such is the island’s venue for power clubbing. Privilege meanwhile has the accolade of the being the world’s largest club. It is largely famous for its 1970’s open air clubbing, hosting huge night out Manumission and having a swimming pool at its centre. If you’re looking for an Ibiza home grown club, then heading to Pacha is ideal. It regularly hosts celebrity DJ’s and offers a real VIP treatment for those who can afford it. And if you want to enjoy foam parties and ice canons then Amnesia, with its two enormous rooms, is definitely the right choice.

Away from all night clubbing Ibiza also offers the perfect place to relax in the day and, especially if you’re using the cheapest car rental deals to hire transport, you’ll be able to enjoy serene beaches and chillout bars such as Cafe del Mar. Away from the buzz of the clubs you’ll be able to find fantastic Spanish culture and cuisine to enjoy during the day whilst quietly recovering from hangovers by the pool. And with thousands still flocking to the island every year Ibiza is as popular as ever for those who want to party all night.
