More than 70 artists present their work at the Vauxhall Art Car Boot, reports

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - June 6th, 2013 - The Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair, the car boot sale with a difference, returns to London this weekend for its 10th anniversary fair. In place of cheap second-hand goods, this car boot sees an array of established artists sell fine pieces of art, with work ranging from £10 to £1,000. The line-up of artists includes Tracey Emin, Pure Evil, Gavin Turk and Billy Childish. Plus, Sir Peter Blake has designed a special print to commemorate Britain's 110 year love affair with Vauxhall Motors and the 10th Art Car Boot Fair.

With the sun due to shine all weekend, there are a number of other al fresco London events taking place this weekend. Open Garden Squares Weekend returns for another year, proving just how green London really is. As well as the selection of Royal Parks and public spaces, a number of private gardens play a vital part in maintain London's status as one of Europe's greenest cities. Another cycling event on Saturday is the IG London Nocturne, which has developed into a major cycling event over the past few years. Taking place around the historic Smithfield Market, the event combines a number of serious races with family fun events. The Spitalfields Music Summer Festival also returns this weekend with small-scale folk and contemporary events held across a selection of Spitalfields venues.

Former Sous Chef at The Hix, Terry Edwards, and the lead singer of British band One Night Only, George Craig - collectively known as Check On - have just returned to the London pop up restaurant scene with their latest venture, Great British Classics. Taking place in the Sanderson's Billiard Room this Friday and Saturday evening, diners will be treated to an eight-course menu that approaches British food with a delicate and creative angle.

Final highlights of the weekend are the Make Space Open Studios, which sees a number of talented creatives discuss their work and sell pieces commission free, and Beach in the East, a pop up Californian-themed shop from Yasmin Sewell.
